Saint Francis Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. We are seeking a versatile, client-focused
LVT who is ready to hit the ground running and contribute meaningfully once acclimated to our workflow. We thrive in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, surgery and anesthesia, and client communication at a high clinical level - and we're looking for someone who brings the same energy, professionalism, and commitment to exceptional patient care.
In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the visit. Responsibilities include: - Splitting time between exam room, outpatient, and surgical caseload support
- Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Assisting in surgery with patient prep, setup, and recovery
- Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Assisting with cystocentesis, IV catheter placement, IV/IM injections, and microscope evaluation
- Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
Schedule and compensation: - $20.00-$27.00 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch. A minimum of 4 days per week is required; 4.5 days is also an option. Flexible between 4 x 10 and 5 x 8 schedules depending on what works for you. No weekends and no on-call requirements.
Full-time Benefits Package: - Bonus package: $2,000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of South Carolina

Minimum qualifications and skill set: - 2+ years of veterinary technician experience preferred; experienced Veterinary Assistants with high-level clinical skills also considered
- Active Veterinary Technician credentials in South Carolina preferred; out-of-state license-holders eligible to transfer and recent graduates pending VTNE are encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Cystocentesis and IV catheter placement
- IV/IM medication administration and accurate drug calculations
- Venipuncture and laboratory sample collection
- Microscope evaluation and in-house diagnostics
